Welcome to the website of REWI - Reigate Evening WI

Reigate Evening WI is coming up for eight years old and we are going from strength to strength with a membership capacity of 110 with ages spanning more than 50 years. We meet at Reigate Community Centre on the second Wednesday of the month 7.45pm - 9.45pm.

Take a look at what we get up to!  Our aim is to inspire and be inspired whilst having fun and staying young and making new friends along the way!

We are an active, lively WI with members enjoying trips to theatres, exhibitions, gardens and a variety of different places of interest.  Our activities are led by members and are designed to attract and involve the varying ages and interests of us all.

The monthly meetings are very varied and as you will see we have a good selection of guest speakers and social evenings.  The individual groups which meet regularly include book discussion, walking, mini bridge, wine appreciation, craft, gardening, poetry and music appreciation, play reading, flower arranging, local history and art appreciation.  Coffee mornings, lunch clubs and evening meals are also very popular.

Members voted in February for our new annual charity and chose to support Surrey Care Trust's  'Gateway Allotment Project', which runs from New Pond Farm Allotments in Earlswood and aims to offer new opportunities to people who may be isolated from their local community.

For more information about joining our WI please contact us using the link on the left.

We hope you are keeping well and are not too anxious in these challenging times.  It is in everyone’s best interests that we stay safe and so we have cancelled our April and May monthly meetings. The events planned up till the end of May are also cancelled. We hope to meet again in some form in June and will review our summer programme in light of the developing situation.
